Ben is one of the Directors at Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration, with a strong technical background as a Qualified Electrician and over 20 years of experience in the electrical and engineering industries.

Prior to joining Sinclair, Ben held the role of Commercial and Engineering Manager, where he oversaw large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

At Sinclair, Ben is focused on driving growth across the company’s industrial, commercial, and agricultural work — while also leading the charge in expanding our capabilities in solar and renewable energy solutions.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys time with his wife Carissa and their three busy children. He’s also passionate about fishing, low-and-slow BBQ, and spending more time than he’d like to admit searching for wayward golf balls.

Cameron is one of the Directors at Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration and the kind of guy who believes good business starts with good people. With a background in HR and Recruitment, he’s all about building strong teams, solid relationships, and a company culture that supports the communities Sinclair serves.

He’s especially passionate about helping rural families and farms stay powered, productive, and future-ready — with solar energy playing a leading role in building a more resilient, energy-independent future.

At home, Cameron is kept busy by his wife Jess and their two lively boys, Jack and Hunter — usually found running, wrestling, or reorganising the lounge. When he’s off the clock, you’ll catch him searching for a wave or attempting to tame the vegetable garden.

Office Manager – Opunake

Trish is the warm and welcoming voice behind the scenes at Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration. As Office Manager, she keeps the wheels turning — managing bookings, coordinating the team, and making sure every customer interaction runs smoothly.

With a strong background in administration and a great eye for detail, Trish is the glue that holds the Sinclair’s together.

Outside of work, Trish is happiest in the garden, at live music gigs with her husband Ando, or lending a hand in the local community through various volunteer groups. She’s passionate about supporting the people and place that make Taranaki home and is an integral part of Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration.

Office & Curtain + Blind Consultant – Opunake

Debbie is a key part of the front-of-house team at our Ōpunake stores, bringing a helpful attitude and a great eye for style to everything she does. Whether you're choosing the perfect paint shade or looking for the right curtains to finish off a room, Debbie’s here to guide you through the process with confidence.

With an exceptional knowledge of colour and fabric textures, she’s our go-to for all things interiors — always happy to help customers turn their ideas into a finished look that works.

As well as assisting customers, Debbie helps manage suppliers, coordinates stock, and keeps the front office humming. Her mix of experience, organisation, and friendly service makes her a valued part of the Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration Team.

Sales & Admin Support – Opunake

Alysha is part of the friendly front-line at our Ōpunake branch, helping customers across the Betta Electrical and Colour Plus stores along with the day-to-day functioning of the Electrical and Refrigeration business units.

From booking jobs and handling enquiries to helping shoppers find the right appliance or paint colour, she’s always happy to lend a hand.

With three kids keeping her on her toes outside of work, Alysha knows a thing or two about staying organised — and brings that same energy into every day at Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration.

Operations Manager

Mark has been a cornerstone of the Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration team since the early days, joining as one of the very first employees back in 2003. With over two decades of hands-on Sinclair experience, Mark brings deep technical knowledge, leadership, and a calm, solution-focused approach to every job.

As a certified Electrical Inspector, Qualified Electrician, and Refrigeration Engineer, Mark oversees project delivery and operational efficiency across both our electrical and refrigeration services.

Rumour has it, there isn’t a chiller unit on the Coast that Mark hasn’t had some involvement with — and it’s not far from the truth. His attention to detail, wide-ranging expertise, and steady presence make him one of the most trusted names in the business.

Outside of work, Mark is a mainstay of the Opunake Golf Club when he is not spending time with his wife Sharon or supporting his kids’ various sporting endeavours.

Stratford Store Manager

Vicky leads the team at our Stratford branch, making sure customers get the help, advice, and gear they need — whether it’s a new heat pump, replacement part, or quick service query.

With a background in retail and a great understanding of the electrical and appliance world, Vicky brings energy, efficiency, and a friendly face to the counter. She's the kind of person who remembers your name, follows up when she says she will, and takes pride in looking after both locals and new customers alike.

Always ready for a chat and happy to help — Vicky’s the one who keeps Stratford humming.

Senior Electrical Apprentice

Based out of our Stratford branch, Cameron is a Senior Apprentice with a passion for doing things properly and looking after people along the way. He’s known for his enthusiasm, attention to detail, and genuine focus on customer care.

As well as gaining hands-on experience across heat pump installs, chillers, and electrical servicing, Cameron also works in the Stratford Appliance Servicing Centre — where he’s quickly becoming trusted for his thorough, reliable approach to diagnosing and repairing appliances.

Okato Area Manager

Doug wears a few hats at Sinclair Electrical & Refrigeration — and wears them well. As the Okato Area Manager, Doug looks after clients and jobs in the region with a steady hand and strong technical know-how. He’s a Qualified Electrician, bringing years of experience to everything from rural installs to residential upgrades and solar systems.

Now training as a Refrigeration Apprentice, Doug’s expanding his skill set to better serve customers across electrical and cooling systems — a true all-rounder in the making.

Down-to-earth, dependable, and committed to doing the job right, Doug’s a key part of the Sinclair team on the coast.

Qualified Electrician | Appliance Servicing Technician | Glazier

Jared is the true definition of a jack-of-all-trades, with a tool for every job and the know-how to match. As a Qualified Electrician, Glazier, and our go-to Appliance Servicing Technician, Jared’s versatility makes him a huge asset to the Sinclair team.

When it comes to fixing appliances, the word is: if Jared can’t fix it, no one can. From ovens and washing machines to fridges and heat pumps, he approaches every job with precision and pride.

Always ready to lend a hand, Jared is known for going the extra mile — whether it’s supporting a teammate on site or helping out in the Ōpunake community. Quietly capable and incredibly dependable, he’s the kind of guy you’re always glad to have on the team.

Qualified Electrician

Born and bred in Ōpunake, Jared is a homegrown talent who’s been part of the Sinclair team since day one of his career — joining straight out of school and completing his entire electrical apprenticeship with us.

Now a Qualified Electrician, Jared is known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet determination. He’s as comfortable wiring a cow shed as he is installing heat pumps, working at heights, or servicing chillers — and just about everything in between.

With deep local roots and a no-fuss attitude, Jared brings consistency, care, and skill to every job — a valued team member who knows what it means to do the job right.

Senior Electrical Apprentice – Ōkato

Currently in the final year of his apprenticeship, Ben is a key part of our Ōkato team and has developed his skills under the watchful eye of Doug Herd — learning from one of the best in the business. With a work ethic to match, Ben is known for his speed, precision and strong willingness to learn.

Whether he’s wiring a dairy shed, assisting with heat pumps, or supporting daily operations in the workshop, Ben approaches every job with care and confidence.

Ben’s already a highly valued member of the team, and we’re excited to support him as he continues to grow into a leading role within the Ōkato team.

Senior Electrical Apprentice

Durann is a Senior Apprentice at Sinclair who’s steadily building a name for himself as a capable, hardworking member of the team. Known for his speed and precision, he brings great energy, focus, and efficiency to every job.

He’s gaining solid experience across a wide range of residential and rural electrical work — including solar installations, where he’s developing a strong understanding of system layouts, panel mounting, and inverter setup.

Whether it’s wiring a new home, helping with farm infrastructure, or assisting on a solar install, Durann approaches each task with a sharp eye and a steady hand.

As he works toward full qualification, Durann continues to be a reliable, valuable part of the Sinclair team with a bright future ahead.

Electrical Apprentice

Born and bred in Ōpunake, Quinn is an apprentice electrician with a growing passion for the kinds of projects that keep Taranaki’s rural backbone strong.

He’s particularly interested in agricultural and dairy systems — from water pumps and effluent setups to milking sheds and switchboards — and is eager to grow his skills in the rural electrical space.

Reliable, down-to-earth, and always keen to learn, Quinn brings great energy and a solid work ethic to every job.

When he’s not on the tools, you’ll find him anchoring the scrum for the Coastal Colts Rugby Team, or out fishing — and occasionally exaggerating the size of his latest catch.

A proud local, Quinn is shaping up to be a real asset to both Sinclair and the wider Coastal community.

Qualified Electrician & Electrical Inspector

Brent is a cornerstone of the Sinclair team — bringing not only years of experience and technical know-how, but also the kind of calm, can-do attitude that keeps projects running smoothly.

As both a Qualified Electrician and Electrical Inspector, Brent plays a key role in maintaining the high standards our customers rely on, whether he's wiring new homes, managing solar installs, or finding faults in rural sheds.

Friendly and approachable, Brent is the kind of guy you want on-site — dependable, down-to-earth, and always willing to lend a hand.

Outside of work, Brent has taken up golf, enjoys a day out on the water, and has a passion for home renovations — whether it’s tackling his own DIY projects or helping friends bring their plans to life.

Senior Electrical Apprentice

Shaan is in the final stages of his apprenticeship with Sinclair, and already brings a depth of experience well beyond his years. With a diverse skillset across both electrical and refrigeration systems, he excels at fault finding — whether it’s diagnosing a wiring issue, troubleshooting a heat pump, or getting an appliance back up and running.

Equally comfortable working on a large effluent system, installing a heat pump, or servicing a dishwasher or dryer, Shaan’s calm, methodical approach makes him a real asset across a wide variety of jobs.

With his apprenticeship nearly complete, Shaan is already proving himself as a skilled and adaptable Electrician who’s a real asset to the Sinclair team.

Appliance Servicing Apprentice

With a background that’s anything but ordinary, Tim recently joined the Sinclair team as an Appliance Servicing Apprentice, bringing with him over 20 years of experience working on special effects for film and television.

Now applying his passion for tinkering, problem-solving, and fixing things in the real world, Tim is diving into the world of electrical appliance servicing — where his attention to detail and hands-on skillset are already proving a perfect fit.

From washing machines to ovens and everything in between, Tim is building on his technical roots while completing his Electrical Appliance Servicing Apprenticeship — and bringing a creative twist to the workshop along the way.
